I will be paying you through PayPal which is a fast, safe and reliable method of payment. Hi Kieran

I love using PayPal too. It’s quick and easy…

So just pay me, shall we say £4,000 to include the shipping ?

If that’s good for you, then it works for me.

You have my name, and my PayPal email address, just let me know the details
of the shipping company and who to pay.

I look forward to a quick deal

  • This Kieran has contacted me with an identical tag line, how is it a scam? Does he steal the money/hack your computer what does he do?

  • Once you have agreed a deal, you receive fake emails appearing to come from PayPal telling you that you have funds, but those funds will only be released once you have paid the shipper who will arrange the collection of the goods.

If you pay the shipper, you’ve been scammed.

  • I have received the above reply from an advert on autotrader. There are several scammers operating using a similar email reply.
Lisa Gabriel lisa_gabriel1010@yahoo.[xxx] and John Tatham jtatham111@gmail.[xxx]

I have googled John Tatham and he is well known for it. They pay through paypal and collect car and then dispute the transaction. Paypal automatically pay back and you are car and money down.

    Editors note:
I have part removed the email addresses to protect the privacy of people who are possibly innocent. I have not heard of the scam about disputing payment and getting a refund via PayPal. Having dealt with PayPay regarding disputed goods, they generally only refund if seller cannot prove that the goods were delivered. A signature for collection would prove the goods were accepted. John Tatham is also listed here:

  • Thank you so much to this Web site. I have just been targeted by exactly the same scam from the kieran email address. I nearly fell for it too if it hadn’t been on here!

  • I received the exactly same email from Kieran!! He must targets a lot of people. I just hope no one was conned.
